If the Sky is the Limit: Powerball & Other Odds in Our Favor
The Powerball Jackpot is at a record high at $750 million. I got an email about it. No winning ticket being claimed last Saturday, I promptly bought a tickets with Venmos from a few friends. If we win, we split our winnings. What are the odds? 1 out of 292 million. So, I’d say pretty good. If we win, we split the approximate 338 million (plus tax). It got me thinking about what I would do.
So, let’s play, “If I won, I would change…”
One thing for myself
Keep my life and house but do some renovations that would allow for a more functional place to host, buy an airbnb or two, and travel more.
One thing for my family
Take everyone I love on dream vacations
One thing to pay it forward
Start a mentoring program to live a creative, beautiful life. What does it mean to be able to do what we love? It’s not about economic status. It’s a mentoring program where anyone could apply and be matched with someone who’s an expert or have classes based on what they want to do, learn or have interest in. Hey, it’s my money. I get to let people dream for free. That would be a dream!
Money is a funny idea. Great in theory but…
This TLC show about Lottery Winners and their lives after. I stumbled across this at a hotel years ago. A group of street sweepers won and from what I remember, they really didn’t change much. They kept their jobs. They just got a few more toys to play with.
Honestly, the only thing I would change about my life is a little more money to do what I want. But, when I look through my iPhone photos, the only thing I see is the best kind of life. People I love, mostly around a dinner table or drinks, at home, and lots of photos of the love of my life, Baxter. It’s really not that hard to have a good life. It just takes noticing. And that doesn’t take any money at all.
This song made me laugh and also has to do with a better life.

What would you change… “If I won, I would…”?
